THE PROGRAM WE ARE RAISING MONEY FOR AT THIS FAIR

The mission of the St. Francis House Pet Care Clinic is to provide free primary veterinary care to the pets of veterans, homeless, and very low-income residents of Alachua county. Our clinic offers exams, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm and flea preventative drugs, treatment for sickness and minor injuries, and consultation about medical care.

Companion animals want only love, food and shelter. In return, they give us fuller lives and make us happy. Many protect us from harm. Best of all, they make us better human beings. The St. Francis House Pet Care Clinic unites many people in a common mission. This grass roots effort gives us a connection that offers rewards no words can describe.

Most homeless animals end up in shelters. Of these, a large number are destroyed. If they are old or ill when they arrive, they have almost no chance of survival. For this reason, we emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering.
